Our Story

From South Wales to Retailers Worldwide

Something Different Wholesale was founded by Jane Wallace-Jones and has grown from a local South Wales business into an international wholesale supplier serving more than 12,000 retailers worldwide.

The beginning Jane began selling distinctive gifts at car boot sales and local markets across South Wales.
1999 Opened a 5,000-square-foot warehouse in Baglan and launched one of the sector's earliest wholesale ecommerce websites.
2005 Began importing our own product ranges.
2012 Moved into our 160,000-square-foot warehouse in Swansea.
2015 Established our in-house design team to create original, exclusive collections.
2026 Launched 10 European-language websites and Something Different Europe BV.
